Sitting here thinking about how I have completely changed how I deal with people. Not in a bad way at all, but in a way that I say less as possible. God changed me. I was willing to change. He did it. I knew this side of me was always there, but I was afraid to bring it out. I LOVE ME. I love the way I communicate with people, and I love respecting others and I DEMAND IT BACK! Its so sad that in this world today… you have to carry yourself a certain way to protect your feelings. People will take advantage of your kindness. Those days for me are over!!!
Some of the employees I work with are talked to any kind of way. Hurt me to my soul last night/this morning when one of the managers * older black lady* told a 60 year old employee * older white lady* to “get her but back down to her post”. MESSED ME UP! My mouth was wide open. When she told that lady that, me and another co-worker called her over to talk about how she talked to that woman. How do you tell a grown woman to “get her ass to her post”? I WISH A ***** WOULD TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!!! EVAAAA!
I was so outdone and so mad… That’s a form of bullying to me. You know this woman is going through a lot, she’s losing her apartment, lost her food stamp benefit, her kids disrespect her at the job * one of them work there*, she’s living with another daughter sleeping on the floor. All she wants is someone to listen to her. She’s a person, a human being. You KNOW this woman is already on the edge…. and you tell her to “get her ass to her post”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Me and another coworker checked her real good. That was DISRESPECTFUL AND UNACCEPTABLE!!! We had a long talk to her about that. All she kept saying is… “I only told her that because they want to fire her, and I was trying to tell her to get to her post.”… Okay that don’t give you permission to tell her to get her ASS to her post!!!!!!! I just looked at her.. like ARE YOU STUPID????
She have one time to talk to ME that way and its on and poppin. I respect EVERYONE. I always talk to people with respect. I purposely talk to folks that way. Because I can’t deal with someone talking side ways to me. So.. I MAKE SURE I smile, watch my tone of voice, my facial expression, and my body language. You cannot talk to people any ole kinda way and expect to get GREAT results. I’m not dealing with any smart mouths ANYMORE. I don’t tolerate any form of side talking, and I REFUSE TO SIT BACK AND WATCH IT HAPPEN TO OTHERS… I WILL SPEAK UP!!
I love people. I love working with the public. I’m a great customer service representative and outside of that NO MANAGER/PERSON is going to talk to me any kind of way. NOT GON HAPPEN…… AND BOY DO THEY KNOW… I will Jada Smith, Queen Latifah, Vivica Fox, and Kimberly Elise up in there!!!! SET IT OFF!
